Platform Limitations

YouTip.me operates as a platform facilitator only. We provide the technology and infrastructure for creators to connect with supporters, but we are not responsible for the content, transactions, or interactions between users.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

Account Security

• Use strong, unique passwords for your account
• Enable two-factor authentication when available
• Do not share your account credentials with others
• Log out of your account when using shared devices

Account Verification

We may require verification of your identity or business information for certain features or higher transaction limits. Failure to provide requested verification may result in account limitations.

4. Platform Fees & Payments

Fee Application

• Donations: 20% fee on all successful donations
• Digital Products: 20% fee on all product sales
• Subscriptions: 20% fee on all subscription payments
• Bookings: 20% fee on all booking payments

Fee Transparency

• All fees are clearly displayed before transactions
• Fees are calculated and deducted automatically
• No hidden charges or surprise fees
• Fees are non-negotiable and apply to all users

Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store credit card information on our servers. Payment processing fees charged by Stripe are separate from our platform fee and are clearly disclosed.

5. User Responsibilities

Content Responsibility

• Creators: You are solely responsible for all content you create, upload, or share
• Content Quality: Ensure your content is accurate, legal, and appropriate
• Rights Ownership: You must own or have rights to all content you share
• Compliance: Content must comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Transaction Responsibility

• Product Delivery: Creators are responsible for delivering products as described
• Customer Service: Creators must provide adequate customer support
• Refund Policies: Creators must establish and honor refund policies
• Tax Compliance: Users are responsible for their own tax obligations

Platform Usage

• Use the platform only for lawful purposes
• Respect other users' rights and privacy
• Report violations or suspicious activity
• Maintain appropriate security measures

6. Prohibited Activities

Content Violations

• Illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• Copyright or trademark infringement
• Harassment, bullying, or hate speech
• False or misleading information
• Adult content without proper age verification

Platform Abuse

• Attempting to circumvent platform fees
• Creating multiple accounts to avoid restrictions
• Automated scraping or data collection
• Interfering with platform functionality
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access

Financial Misconduct

• Fraudulent transactions or chargebacks
• Money laundering or illegal financial activities
• Tax evasion or financial reporting violations
• Circumventing payment processing systems

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create and upload to the platform. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and distribute your content as necessary to provide our services.

Platform Rights

YouTip.me and its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without permission.

Third-Party Rights

You must respect the intellectual property rights of others. Do not upload content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other rights. We may remove infringing content and terminate accounts of repeat offenders.

8. Liability Limitations & Disclaimers

Service Disclaimers

• No Guarantees: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Content Accuracy: We do not verify or endorse user-generated content
• Transaction Success: We facilitate payments but do not guarantee delivery or quality
• Earnings: We do not guarantee specific income levels or financial success

Liability Limitations

• Maximum Liability: Our liability shall not exceed the amount of platform fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim
• Indirect Damages: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Third-Party Services: We are not liable for issues with external services or payment processors
• User Disputes: We are not liable for disputes between creators and supporters

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or technical failures.

9. Termination

Account Termination

• You may terminate your account at any time
• We may terminate accounts for violations of these Terms
• Termination results in immediate loss of access to services
• Outstanding transactions may be processed before termination

Effect of Termination

• Your content may be removed from the platform
• Outstanding fees and obligations remain due
• We may retain certain data for legal compliance
• Refunds are subject to our refund policy

Survival of Terms

Certain provisions of these Terms, including liability limitations, intellectual property rights, and dispute resolution, shall survive termination of your account.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where YouTip.me is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution
